We offer highly personalized general gynecologic care for women of all ages. For the convenience of our patients we offer in-office gynecologic ultrasounds and labs, so you don’t have to visit an outside lab for routine ultrasounds and lab work.

Well Woman Exams

Annual well-woman exams are an important way to help you stay healthy. Well-woman exams can include necessary screenings, health habits, family planning, and planning of overall health goals. Be sure and schedule a visit annually with your gynecologist.

Birth Control

Birth control helps prevent pregnancy, and there are many different options. The providers of Eastside OB/GYN will identify the birth control features that are most important to you in order to help you choose the best possible birth control option.

BRCA Testing

The BRCA gene test is a blood test that uses DNA analysis to identify harmful changes (mutations) in either one of the two breast cancer susceptibility genes — BRCA1 and BRCA2.

We offer a wide variety of in-office diagnostic, surgical, and contraceptive procedures. In-office procedures can help avoid a trip to the hospital, offers privacy, and requires less time and expense.

In-Office Gynecology Procedures

The providers of Eastside OB/GYN offer several in-office gynecologic procedures for diagnosis and treatment of many common gynecologic issues such as abnormal pap smears, heavy periods, and birth control.

In-office procedures are convenient for patients, can help avoid a visit to the hospital, and requires less time and expense. By performing procedures in our office, it offers a more convenient option for our patients.

Common In-Office Procedures

  • LEEP – “LEEP” is an abbreviation for loop electrosurgical excision procedure. It is a way to test and treat abnormal cell growth on the surface tissue of the cervix. LEEP may be recommended after abnormal changes in the cervix are confirmed by Pap tests and colposcopy biopsies.

  • Saline Infusion Sonography – Saline infusion sonohysterography (SIS or SHG) is a procedure to evaluate the uterus and the shape of the uterine cavity. SHG uses ultrasound and sterile fluid to show the uterus and endometrial (uterine lining) cavity. The ovaries are also seen at the time of SHG. The purpose is to detect any abnormalities.

  • Endometrial Biopsy – An in-office procedure that serves as a helpful tool in diagnosing various uterine abnormalities.

  • IUD – An intrauterine device (IUD) is a small plastic T-shaped device used for birth control. It is inserted into the uterus where it stays to prevent pregnancy.
